We celebrated mom’s 69th birthday at a new really yummy restaurant- Of course. It had a fun menu where we all got to try a little bit of everything in a Tapas/shared plate way. It was wonderful to catch up and celebrate one of our favorite people! And..the food was amazing!
We went with Jen and Addi to the Morgan Wallen concert. We started our night off with dinner at Red Door then spent a hot night singing and having a blast! Lainey Wilson was one of the openers and she was awesome! We. Had great seats and even got 4 songs sung right in front of us! Such a fun night!
I celebrated my 25th anniversary at Hallmark on July 19, 2024 and Hallmark sent me an incredibly special gift. It was wrapped really cool and included a wooden box with a crown on a wooden base made out of the trees from the Hall family farm. Special cards and a booklet with the story of the gift was included. It was all made by Hallmark artists. So cool and something I will treasure.
Kate organized a last minute Midwest college road trip to Loyola university in Chicago, Notre Dame and U of Michigan. We rented a car and drove to each location and then flew home from Detroit.
While each school offered something special, Kate’s favorite school was Notre Dame, which was gorgeous. She loved the campus, the tour, the admissions details and the town. She learned what it will take to get accepted in a highly competitive top tier school and has a better understanding of the college process- exactly why we did it!
In addition to campus tours, we explored Chicago, ate yummy food and shopped in each town/city. A really fun 5 full days!
Kate and I went to her swim meet in Wichita while Todd stayed home with the dogs. A teammate, Maggie stayed with us as her parents couldn’t come. It was her first long course meet of the season and it was District Champs. She took off much of the season with traveling and her surgery so it was a tough meet. That said, we had fun together!!
Kate invited Izzy, Nika and Natalie to enjoy some lake fun! They had a blast playing and sleeping!! So fun to introduce the lake to new friends!!
