Deanna Rose Farm!

Today was Opening Day of the Farm and we were there! It was a beautiful (if not hot) day and we had fun playing and seeing animals. We fed and pet the goats, played on the swings and playground, saw the bunnies, went down the big barn slide and had a blast! It really is starting to feel like summer cause it is NOT a summer without Deanna Rose Farm!

You won't believe it...

I can make my bed! I took a nap today and tonight I told mom and dad that I wanted to make my own bed and they said YES...of course they said yes!! After some hard work and patience this is the end result....

This may now be my first "official" chore!

April Fools Day!

I pulled my very first April Fools Day prank today and it worked!!! We called Papa Dick and here is how the phone call went:
Daddy: "Hey Dad, Kate has to tell you something"
Me: "Papa Dick, I broke your TV"
Papa Dick: "Hi Kate. I can't hear you. What did you say?"
Me: "I broke your TV"
Papa Dick: "I am having troubles hearing you Kate. Did you say you broke something?"
Me: "Yes Papa Dick. I broke your TV."
Papa Dick: "What did you break honey?"
Me: "I....BROKE....YOUR....TV"
Papa Dick: "You broke my TV?"
Me: "Yes"
Papa Dick: "Can I talk to your Daddy?"
Me: "April Fools!"
Papa Dick: "What Kate?"
Me: "APRIL....FOOLS!"
Me, Daddy and Mommy: "giggles, laughter, ha ha ha ha ha"
Papa Dick: "You got me Kate! April Fools! ha ha ha ha"

It was SO hilarious...now I keep trying to trick other people!!!

Bets...

I submitted my very first NCAA Basketball bracket this year and I am sad to say I did NOT win. I was pretty confident of my choices though! So confident that last week when KU played North Carolina I cheered on North Carolina the whole time (I picked North Carolina to win it all). I even called Papa to rub it in when North Carolina was winning and made a side bet. I lost the side bet and now I owe Papa 3 things from Taco Bell....oh no! Double or nothing Papa?

Rock Chalk!!!

The Jayhawks are going to the NCAA FINALS!! I am really excited - both mom and dad like the Jayhawks (although they did not go there)....but I might so I better start cheering early!

We had a basketball watch party at our house yesterday and it was SO fun! Nama, Papa, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Rob, Anna, Ashley, Gigi and Uncle Bob all came over. We played, watched the games, ate yummy food and played some more!

The Jayhawk game had some folks getting nervous so....I decided to get up and do some cheers for the Jayhawks. I did "Lean to the Left" and "Go team" and "We're #!!" and guess what....THEY WON! My cheers worked!

Rock Chalk! I will have to do lots of cheering tomorrow night!

Swimming Lessons!

Yesterday was my first day of swimming lessons this spring. I take them at Blue Valley Rec every Saturday and love every minute of them! Coach Angie is my instructor again. I have private lessons....it is just the two of us! I am getting really good...especially my back float!
