We got pretty for our last night, had a fun dinner, watched the sunset and saw a fire dancer on the beach. PERFECT!

Success
We hit the jackpot and found OVER 175 sand dollars! We spent a night bleaching, cleaning and drying them and a morning packaging them super carefully to get back home! I can't wait to turn these into ornaments and having a sand dollar tree just like we did when we were kids. We had a family trip to Marco Island 30 years ago where we got tons of sand dollars and brought them home and had on our entryway Christmas tree!! So awesome!

Wonderful evenings
We spent a few evenings exploring Sand Dollar Island. This required us to have a fun drive in our convertible (always complete with babushka's), driving to a public beach, hiking through a marsh and walking very, very far to find the sacred sand dollars! The journey was so long that we had to cut the first night short as we had to go at sunset during low tide and it got too dark too fast! We saw beautiful beaches, lots of fun sea creatures, saw a snake and found TONS of shells and sand dollars. It was amazing....even despite the thousands of attacking mosquito bites (and my welts) we got in the marsh area!
Beautiful and relaxing days
We had the best time relaxing at the pool, ordering fun beach drinks, eating lunch, swimming, reading, talking and relaxing! Wish we could do it everyday!

Anne (mom took over writing these)!
