Day 7: Frankfurt, Germany...food and drink

Today we had traditional German food for lunch and then went to a steak and tapas restaurant for dinner.

I had French onion soup (almost as good as in Paris) and sour kraut and sausage for lunch and a filet for dinner!  I have also been drinking Orancina soda....yum!!

Day 7: Frankfurt, Germany...sightseeing

Frankfurt is the largest city in Germany and is focused on banking. While there is not a ton of sightseeing things of interest, we did get to check out their small old town and it was super cute. We even ate at a traditional German restaurant!

Day 7: Frankfurt, Germany...ChristmasWorld

I am in Frankfurt for the worlds largest Christmas home and gift show.  There was a ton to see as we packed our day full of exploring and picture taking and then trying to make sense of everything g we saw.  There are some very interesting trends for Christmas decor and must do not involve the colors red and green!!

Day 6: Germany...arrival

I got to my hotel late Thursday night in Frankfurt.  I was tired and really just wanted to go home like the other 3 I traveled with.  The hotel here is very clean and modern, but not comfortable or cozy.  I miss London, but can't wait until I fly home Sunday!!

Day 6: London...final sightseeing

I snapped some last minute beautiful London shots.  I love the phone booths and double decker buses!  The refined and old details are just so cool!  We all definitely need to come back for a family vacation when Kate gets a little bit bigger!!  Maybe we will run into Princess Kate then!!

Day 6: London...food

Boy did I eat some good food in London!  We happened upon a Chef Gordon Ramsey restaurant where I had a fabulous cannelloni with ricotta and spinach and even had macaroons for dessert!

We spent dinner at the airport where I had some fancy ice cream!!

Goodbye London!

Day 6: London...shopping

I spent my last day in London shopping in Notting Hill, at Harrod's (the worlds largest department store), at a street market, at Piccadilly Circus and at some of the highest end retail stores in the world.  So fun!

Day 5: London...sight seeing

We saw a lot this day!  While I did not meet princess Kate, I saw where she got married (Westminster Abbey) and where the Queen lives (Buckingham Palace)!   We also saw Big Ben and lots of other cool places!
