Dive Practice

Tonight I asked mom if she could take me to swim practice early so that I could get in the pool early and practice my dives.  Mom was so proud of me that I took that initiative to work hard and improve!
The Coach was even there to give one on one pointers!

TCE Pride Night

This week is pride week at TCE where we get to dress in fun themes each day, have fun events and even have a Pride night where the families come to the school to see some fun stuff we have been doing.  Mrs. Smith was sick and not there, but I still got to show mom and dad lots of cool stuff I have been working on!
My projects:
- A book report on the book Nine, Ten where I was trying to convince the reader to read the book
- A group project on hurricanes
- A game called "Twisty, Disty Division" that Mia and I got to create during math time since we already mastered the topic.  We then got to present the game to the class and everyone has been able to play all week!
- A report on Chipmunks
- My snowman art

Mom's trip

Mom was a lucky lady and got to go to Tampa this past weekend to visit her college roommate, Amberlyn.  They got to catch up and mom got to meet her adorable daughter, Harriet.  It was even Gasperilla weekend in Tampa complete with parties and a huge parade.  She had a lot of fun!We were sure glad to have mom home though!

Colt Citizen!!

I was so surprised and excited when I walked into the gym for last Friday's assembly and saw mom, dad and Nama!  It meant that I won Colt Citizen for the month!!  It is such a cool honor which means I demonstrate the virtues of my school hopes their student represent!  They chose one person from each class each month!

Mystery Reader

I surprised Anna by being a mystery reader in her class last week!  Aunt Jenny pulled me out of school early, which was super cool and I loved surprising my cousin!!

Busy Sports weekend

We have had some really busy active sports weekends this winter.  I have basketball games, swim meets and volleyball double headers each weekend!  Good thing I love it!  Here I was a few weeks ago at my basketball game.  Looks like I got that ball!!

Basketball Tournament

We participated in our first all Kanas City basketball tournament a few weeks ago.  It was our very first time playing real basketball rules and not 4th grade BV Rec rules.  There was full court press, you could guard anyone and did not have to play 1 on 1 and it was really different!  We learned a ton and did really well.  We won 1 out of the 3 games.  The games were against club teams, so we were happy we hung in there.  It is making us better for our league, that is for sure.  Take a look at the super tall (likely 5' 10") girl I have to guard!  Holy moly!

Dive Clinic

Dad signed me up for a dive clinic through my swim team. We all thought is was to work on diving off the blocks.  Oh were we wrong!! It was a DIVING clinic...like how to do HIGH DIVES and tehey started us off by doing tumbling!!  I about died....I can not tumble...not even a summersault!!

Can you say nightmare!!??!!  I was a trooper though and did everything they asked of me (and the boys....all the boys in the class, did I mention there was only one other girl....and she was the instructors daughter)!

After Dad treated me to a well deserved lunch!
