HAPPY 4th of JULY!
Tonight we stopped by Anna and Ashley's house! I was so excited to see my cousins at there new house. The last time I was there it was empty, so it was really neat to see all the work they have done! Anna's room is an awesome purple like Barney color and Ashley's is a pretty teal blue!
We played, explored the house and even had a 4th of July (even though it is the 3rd of July) treat....Bomb Pops!

NOLA: Airport...heading home
We had such a wonderful vacation and it was hard to go home. I even cried a bit, although once we landed in Kansas City I was excited to be home! Once I got home I ran around like a nut and played and played with all my toys I had not seen for 2 weeks!
I can't wait until our next family vacation!!! I think we should go back to the beach!
Here I am at the New Orleans airport eating my Subway and waiting for our plane!

NOLA: Cafe Du Monde
Mommy really wanted to take us to Cafe Du Monde to try the beignes. We went right after dinner (because we were close) and were not really hungry, but it was cool! I thought they were okay, daddy thought they tasted like funnel cakes (he is right) and mommy just liked being there.

NOLA: Exploring the town
New Orleans was hot and humid, but still a fun way to end our vacation! We spend Saturday (arrived at noon) through Sunday at noon there and did some exploring!

We went down Bourbon St during the day time. We even ate at a good Mexican restaurant there!
We rode a street car - twice!
Played in the hotel room, rested and watched TV. I loved playing hide and seek and jumping on the bed! We even spent some time in the pool at the hotel!
We ate dinner at a pizza shop in the French Quarter and then headed to Jackson Square for more exploring.
We saw pretty buildings...
I thought this looked like one on The Princess and the Frog. I did not see Tiana though.
I loved looking at all the gator stuff. We even bought homemade pralines to take home!
Here is Jackson Square. I saw a buy painted silver, one that looked kinda like a clown (mom said he was a jester) and heard lots of people playing music on the street. We even saw lots of horses!

Gulf Shores: Leaving
After we packed up the car and said goodbye to nama, papa and the beach we headed out of town and stopped at Krispy Kremes on out way out! YUMMY! I even got a hat and got to see how donuts were made!
We then drove about 2.5 hours to New Orleans and stayed at the Double Tree on Canal Street (right by the water and the French Quarter).

Glf Shores: More card playing
Here we are getting in a few more rounds of Go Fish in before we have to leave the next morning! I love cheering everyone on...I don't mind if I win or lose!

Gulf Shores: Laundry
Daddy bought laundry detergent and dryer sheets when we got there. We thought he would do a few loads of laundry. We were wrong. He did over 30 loads of laundry in 7 days. He did not want to waste the detergent! It made us laugh, but we all had clean towels and clothes EVERYDAY! It was like staying at a hotel with a maid!

Gulf Shores: Reading
Mommy read a lot of books while we were on vacation. Here I am reading one of them....

Gulf Shores: Last dinner!
For our last night in Gulf Shores Papa took us all out to a really nice restaurant! It was a steak and seafood place and boy did they know how to cook! I got to drink water out of a glass that looked like a wine glass and I even had my own salad and mommy and I split a steak...yummy!!
I tried peppercinis for the first time and liked them a lot...although my mouth was on fire! I liked them enough to eat 2 of them!

Gulf Shores: The Pool
Although the pool at our condo was not the biggest we have stayed at it was pretty cool! It was indoor/outdoor and you could swim in and out through an opening, it was cool and refreshing and I had swimming partners (nama, papa, mommy and daddy)!
Here are Papa and I swimming. He taught me how to push off the starting blocks! Pretty cool!
Here I am demonstrating my back float!
