It was a VERY Merry Christmas!

My first Christmas was so much fun! I can't wait to do it again next year!!! We went to Pittsburg the day before Christmas Eve to visit G'ma Vicki, G'pa Dick, Uncle Chris and Great G'ma and Great G'pa. On Christmas Eve we all had a great big dinner and then opened presents!!! It was great! Santa must have thought I have been a really good girl because there were so many gifts under the tree! I played all night long! I especially loved the very last present I opened....a rocking horse that moves and makes noises!!! He is so cool that I gave him lots of hugs and kisses. I knew just how to ride him too and rode the horsey like a BIG girl! Maybe when I am 5 I can get my very own real life horse!!! I got dressed up in my Christmas dress. It was really hard to crawl in so mom had to change me into my Christmas jammies so I could crawl like a maniac all over the place!!
We got up early on Christmas morning and drove home for Christmas at our house. It looks like Santa made it down the Chimney okay because I had lots of fun presents waiting for me...a doll house bookcase, a monkey, lots of fun balls and other great toys! After mom, dad and I opened our presents and spent the morning together we went over to Grama and Grandpa Fimmen's house to celebrate some more!!
Mom, Dad and I were the first one's over there so I got to play with G'ma and G'pa all by myself!! I listened to my favorite Christmas music at Grama's like always and we played and danced and sang!! Everyone played games and had a nice lunch and I took a good long nap to rest up for the night of more food and presents!! My cousin Tom, Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Tom, Aunt Jenny and Uncle Rob all came over and the party began!!! It was so cool to have everyone there. They let Tom and I open our presents first!! What was so cool was that both sets of G'ma's and G'pa's got me my favorite present!!! They must know me so well that they both got me the horsey!!! How cool is that...2 horsey's!!! Cousin Tom got the coolest gift ever...a big yellow dump truck...since I am a girl I got a tea set instead....I really wanted the dump truck though! I got really sleepy after such a busy few days that I fell asleep and did not even get to watch the adults open gifts...cousin Tom is a party animal though and stayed up super late...how lucky is he!?!

Well, I can't hardly wait for next Christmas...364 more days!!!

Thank you to everyone who made my Christmas so special! I love you!

Kate

News...

I am not sure the last time I updated everyone on my tricks!!! I can now climb steps, point, creep along and kinda walk when I hold on to something, I say my prayers (when we say "I love God" I cross my hands to pray), I have a new thing where I love to scream and really tell you when I am irritated, I arch my back whenever someone tries to put me where I don't want to be (no one likes that trick)....I am just learning all kinds of things! I love to give kisses and hugs to my toys, when I get sleepy I love to rest my head on anything and everyone. I am pretty dramatic and I make sure everyone knows how I feel!!

Tomorrow I am 10 months old....so, I am getting super BIG!

Big Girl Car Seat!

It is official...I have 2 new big girl car seats in mommy and daddy's cars! They are so much roomier than the infant seat I had before. Only bad part is that mom and dad have to get me in and out of the car seat before we go inside....they can't just carry me in the seat! It is cold out there too!

Ho Ho Ho....Merry Christmas!

Today I met Santa for the very first time! I thought he was such an interesting man! Not only does he fly in a sleigh, have reindeer, brings me gifts and lives at the North Pole...he has the coolest outfit and tons of hair on his face!!! I wasn't scared though - I just could not stop staring at him - he was pretty cool. All the other kids cried when they sat on his lap...I wonder if Santa told them they would not bring them the presents they asked for? I heard him say "ho ho ho", just like I learned it. I have to make sure I keep practicing so I say it perfect on Christmas!

Well, here is the picture mom and dad bought of us. Notice that I tried to dress like Santa...he noticed and just loved it! Love you!

Big Girl...

Sorry it has taken me a while to blog...I have been busy learning so many new things! Grandma Fimmen taught me to say "uh oh", I have gone up 2 steps like a pro, I say my prayers too...when we pray and say "I love God" I cross my hands to pray.

I love to read books and can turn the pages myself. My favorite book right now is my Christmas Peekaboo book. I give each character on the pages kisses when I turn the page!

I love music and dance all the time. As soon as I get to Grandma's every morning we read books and listen to music and dance. Grandma and I are now listening to Christmas music! When you ask me what Santa says I say "ho ho ho". I can't wait for Santa to come and visit me! Mom and Dad said we might go visit Santa this weekend and get my picture taken with him. I can't wait! Wonder if he will make me cry?

On Sunday Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Dick came over and we celebrated Grandpa's birthday! It is always so much fun to play with them. Grandpa was a little under the weather though so he did not get to hold me like he normally does...he did not want me to be sick my first Xmas! How kind of him!!!

Well, it is way past my bedtime. I will post pictures soon! Love you!

Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for such a fun family! I was able to see so many people on Thanksgiving - even family I have never met before! We went to Pittsburg in the morning and then to Parsons for the Horton Family Thanksgiving. Their are so many Hortons...I got to meet so many of my Great Aunts and Uncles and cousins. It was lots of fun - I also got to see my Great G'ma and G'pa Horton! There was so much food there...I have never seen so much food in one place! It all looked very yummy! Mommy even let me try ice cream - wonderful! After Parsons we went and visited Great G'ma and G'pa Bradfield to play! They have so many fun things for me to play with. I played with a radio, a ceramic cat and lots of teddy bears!! I even got to take one home. I love that teddy bear so much that I give it hugs and kisses all the time!
That same day we drove back to Kansas City for Thanksgiving dinner with the Fimmens. I got to play with my cousin Tom and Grandpa too lots of video of us! After dinner while the grown ups played Risk, Tom and I got to play around in our diapers...so much fun! Peanut, Boomer and Bailey were all there so I go to play with the dogs! Boy are Boomer and Bailey big!!
