Back to school night

Last night mom when to the parent-only back to school night at TCE.  She learned all about my teacher, my day and  first grade!

Piano make over!!!

Bingo for a cause!

Last night mom and I went to a benefit event for Baby Florence to raise money for her and her family!  Florence's mom works with mom at Hallmark and some of moms work friends and their families went.

We had a great BBQ dinner and yummy desserts, played lots of bingo, played the raffle and tried to win lots of silent auction stuff!  We won a fairy basket for me, a visa gift card and 2 hours of decorating consultation with a designer and a gift card to a salon.

It was a really fun night for a great cause!!! We are saying prayers that Florence gets to go home soon!!

New Piano!!!

We have been wanting a piano for our basement...we have the perfect spot and I am going to take lessons!  We were super lucky when Miss Lori offered to give us her piano, as they got a new one!

The movers delivered it yesterday and we had fun playing on it last night!  Mom painted it today...pictures coming!!!

First soccer game of the season!!

This week was my first soccer game of the season.  It is my same team I have been with for the past year...all TCE girls! This season we are the Silver Storm!

It was a super hot morning, but we had lots of fun!  Papa Dick, Nama, Papa, uncle Rob, Aunt Jenny, Anna, Ashley, Abby, mom and dad were all there...I had a crowd!  Dad is one of my coaches...that is really cool!

After my game we went to watch Anna's game and then went out to lunch with Papa Dick!!

Magic Bands!

Carpool!

Addison and I carpool to school together everyday and its AWESOME!!  Mom and dad take us to school Monday and Friday.  Addison's parents take us Wednesday and Thursday.  They switch off who takes on Tuesdays!

It's really fun because we eat breakfast together, play and walk into school together every day!  We even hold hands when we walk in!

I love getting to spend time with my BFF!

Woohoo!

I am the happiest girl EVER! Mom found a lady who was selling 38 Rainbow Magic books (my favorite) and 13 Tinkerbell books... And she negotiated them for $25!  Score! So awesome!  

It turned out the lady we bought them from was Mrs. Hart- my computer teacher!!!

First Day of 1st Grade...the results!

I LOVED IT!  I LOVE Mrs. Miller, my friends, my class, my school, recess, lunch, EVERYTHING! I could not wait to go back for my 2nd day of 1st Grade!

First Day of 1st Grade - the walk in!

Mom and I got to school early the first day (Dad was on business travel, but picked me up from school with mom) so that we could take our time and enjoy the morning.  We got my picture in front of the Colt mascot (just like we did last year) and then waited inside until the bell rang and we could head to Mrs. Miller's classroom.  We ran into Addison as we headed to class and she and I went together.  She is in the class right next to mine, which is pretty cool!

Mom stayed in the room for a few minutes as I got all situated and then I told her it was okay for her to leave.  Then I had a FANTASTIC rest of the day!!  I LOVE SCHOOL!

BIKE RIDER!!!

It's official!  I am a bike rider with NO TRAINING WHEELS!  It took me some time, as I had little interest, but it is really cool!  Here I am right when I got the hang of it!  Thanks Dad!

Tomorrow I'm officially a first grader!!

This afternoon mom, Nama and I went to get me new school shoes and then met Papa for a celebration dinner at Houlihans!  It was so much fun!

We got home early, took a bath, tried on my first day of school outfit I picked up at Justice, packed my lunch and then relaxed.

Mrs. Miller gave me a special letter that I was able to open and read at bedtime.  It was so cool...and included some confetti to wish me a good first day of school!  I sprinkled it under my pillow, mom read me a few chapters of my book and I drifted off to sleep...all by 8:20 (10 minutes before my normal bedtime as every extra minute of sleep will help on my big day tomorrow)!

All ready for tomorrow!!

Fun with friends!

After "meet the teacher night" at school, mom, Addison, Miss Jennifer and I all went to get our nails done!  I got purple leopard on my toes and pink and white stripes on my fingers!  They turned out awesome!

Then we went out to dinner at Fortune Walk...so yummy, then to Tad's for shaved ice!  It was an awesome night!

Addi and I are disappointed we aren't in the same class together, but are super excited we will be driving to school together and will have Girl Scouts, dance and soccer together!!!!

P.S.  in case you are wondering where dad was...he is in Florida on a business trip!!
