Volleyball Nationals: Indianapolis Day 1

Day 1 of nationals did not go as planned and we went 0-3. It wasn’t looking good. We had a player get hurt 6 points into our first set which really messed us up!

That night we had dinner with Jackie and her family where we laughed and discussed the challenging day!

Swim Meet: Des Moines

We headed to Des Moines for a swim meet the weekend before volleyball nationals….which started a very big 10 days!

I had a blast hanging with my friends and got a handful of personal bests!!

HLA: parent night

The Friday before nationals HLA hosted a “walk in their shoes” night. Parents did conditioning like the girls go and then had a scrimmage. Fun memories and boy do they work hard!!

Summer swim season was a bit different this year because I missed so many meets! I only made 1.5 meets (one was rained out) as I had KU camp, nationals and volleyball open gym conflicts! I’m still going to go to champs though…so more to come!

Lake time!

We had the lake house all ourself Father’s Day weekend so Kate invited Jackie, Caitlin and Carlie. Papa Dick also joined us and we had an amazing time doing all the wonderful things the lake has to offer!

Swim team Fun time

The COOL swim went to Go Ape for some team bonding! Climbing and zip lining for all!

MU long course meet

We stayed in Columbia for a meet and Kate did awesome! Personal bests all around!

KU Swim Camp

Kate and Ella roomed together at the 4 day overnight camp. They had a good camp but bad room experience. There was a flood in their room which meant they had no furniture and it was super stinky!!

It was fun to watch the mini meet on the last day. Kate rocked it!

KU volleyball camp

Kate started off her summer with two KU overnight camps. First volleyball and then swim. She stayed in Naismith dorm with Caitlyn and next to Jackie, Carlie, Addi and Alyssa. They had a blast!
