California!

After Daddy and I went Christmas shopping together and I took a nap I played with my babies.  We packed our suitcase to go on a trip to California!  We went on an airplane, layed out at the beach and even read People magazines...just like people do at the beach.  It was a wonderful trip for such cold weather!

Baby sitters!!

Last night mom and dad had a Christmas party, so Nama Vicki and Papa Dick came in town to stay with me and we had a ball! 

Papa Dick's birthday is Wednesday so we took him to dinner at Cheesecake Factory...yummy!  Then we came home and played, played, played!  They gave me a bath while we listened to my new Pink CD, watched lots of movies, Nama Vicki fell down the stairs, and even had special cupcakes I picked out for Papa for his Birthday dessert!  I got to stay up until the middle of the night and it was WONDERFUL!

I am so excited Papa Dick bought a house up here in KC, so I can see them even more often!

Fairy Princess

Yesterday Anna, Ashley and I got to meet the Fairy Princess at the Kansas City Museum!  It was a very cool event we will likely make an annual tradition.  Mommy, Nama, Aunt Jenny and Miss Mary (Anna & Ashley's Nama) also went...making it a girls day!

We got to meet the beautiful Fairy Princess and even make some magic by waving her wand 3 times....it opened a treasure chest where we each got to get a treasure!  After getting our picture taken with her we made 3 crafts, got a yummy cookie and crown and then went out for a great lunch at Happy Gillis!

After lunch Nama, mommy and I went to City Market and stopped at a few fun stores down in that area.  It was a great day!

First Fib

Tonight while mommy was washing her face I ran in and starting to talk to her and then it appeared to mommy I scratched my bottom and smelled my fingers.

Mommy said "Kate, did you just scratch your bottom and smell your fingers?"

I said, quickly "no mommy, I just washed my hands and wanted to smell the soap."

Mommy came over to me and asked "can I smell your hands?"

I said "No, I didn't just wash them.  I did not tell the truth."

Mommy said "I think your very first fib was over smelling your stinky fingers."

I said "No, I have fibbed before."

Mommy went downstairs and told daddy as she laughed and laughed (doesn't she know I fibbed because I was embarrassed).  Daddy laughed to and asked me why I did it.  I then told him "because you do it."

Mommy could not stop laughing ALL night long...oh, and she told me "don't do stuff because your dad does it.  Sometimes boys are gross."  Lesson learned!

Getting the tickles out

The other morning at Nama's house I was stretching.  Nama asked me if I was tired.  I said "No Nama.  You know how sometimes when you wake up you have to stretch to get the tickles out?  I am getting the tickles out."

Nama thought that was so funny she had to write it down so she did not forget it.

Nice words from my teacher...

When Nama picked me up from school the other day Mrs. Cronin said "Kate is such a sweet and happy girl".  That made everyone who loves me so happy.
