I love to play with my babies...all of them. We have tea parties, I dress them, I push them in their stroller, put them to bed and just play, play, play with them all the time! They are so special to me!
Here is a conversation I had with mom when we were playing with my babies today. "She is C-E-G. That is why she is Q-R-T." I was trying to spell words to mom so my babies did not understand what I was saying (like what Nama and mommy sometimes do to me). What I was spelling to mommy was "sad" and "crying". It cracked mommy up!
Okay, back to baby playing time!

Countdown to 4!!!
Playing outside in January!!!
We have had such a wonderful winter....meaning, less than 1 inch of snow and pretty warm weather! It was so nice today that Daddy and I went to the park and played and then we played outside even more today! Daddy even grilled out steaks! Here are some pictures of Daddy and I playing ball!

Cousin Colleen Weekend!!!
This weekend mommy's cousin Colleen came into town from Chicago! Everyone was so excited for her to get into town - mommy even took off work on Friday to have a girls day. I was lucky enough to play a little with the girls during girls day too! After mommy and I did some shopping in the morning we met Nama, Papa, Colleen and Aunt Jenny at La Bodega for lunch. They had really yummy mac and cheese and we had lots of fun. Then us girls shopped a little and then I had to go to Nama's house while the rest of the girls went out for the day! I was really bummed that I did not get to do all the fun stuff they did....
They went to the Plaza and shopped, shopped, shopped, then went to happy hour and McCormick's and Schmicks's, then shopped, shopped, shopped, then went out for a drink at Plaza 3, then went to reverse happy hour and had chocolate fondue and drinks at The Melting Pot (Yummy food, but I heard the restaurant spelled like a boys locker room....weird and gross)! After their fun Plaza time they stayed the night at the Marriott hotel on the Plaza...an adult-only sleepover! They had so much fun, but that was not all....the next morning they went out to breakfast at Eggcetera and then mommy came home to get me to join the fun!!!
Once she got me we met all the girls (even Anna and Ashley) at Nama's house to play, then mommy, Colleen and I went to a few places to shop (I love girls day shopping) and then we all went to the spa for manicures and pedicures (I learned you call them "mani's and pedi's to be cool)! Papa even met us at the spa!! I got both my fingers and toes done and was such a big girl. I even carried on a conversation with the Asian grandma who was doing my nails. It went something like this...
me: "That is my cousin Colleen"
her: "Yes, I do speak Chinese"
me: nodding head (a little confused), but went with it all like a big girl
her: what is your name?
me: Kate (that was easy)
her: ?????
me: (smiles and nods)....everyone was so proud of me and she kept playing with my curls and asking me about them (I think)
After nails we all went out to dinner at.....Jalapenos (my favorite)! It was really yummy and they gave us a really good big table. After dinner we went to the candy shop and got some goodies...an awesome end to a wonderful weekend!
I can't wait to see Colleen again...we all talked about going to Chicago to visit her. I hope that is really soon!

Leader Day!!
Today was a VERY special day for me because I was the leader at school! Being the leader is special and only something you get to be a few times a year (this is my second time). Since I was the leader mommy got to come to school with me to watch me perform my leader duties...that was super cool! She took some pictures and even video taped the whole thing if anyone wants to come over to watch it!
I got to sit on the leader chair and do my show and tell. I brought my baby doll twins (Thomas and Julie). I told the kids that they slept in their own beds and then I get to call on the kids in my class to ask me questions. I called them one by one and with the help of the question sticks the teachers help them ask me a question. The questions are stuff like "who bought it for you" (Nama Vicki and Papa Dick) / "where do you keep them" (in their room), "why did you want them?" (because I liked them) / "what did you name them?" (Thomas and Julie)...and even more!
After show and tell I got to get the weather stick and go with Mrs. Schmid to the back door. report on the weather and then tell the class: "It is cold and windy and the sky is blue".
After mommy left I got to be in the front of the line and lead the class to Bible study and back and lead the class in and out to recess.
At recess I was super surprised because Nama brought Anna with her to pick me up!!! It was really cool. I was so excited that when the teacher rang the bell to get back in line to go inside I got in the back of the line (not in the leader position where I belonged). The teacher called me and I lead the class in!
I LOVE leader day and can't wait until I can be leader again!

Birthday Party Sneak Peak....
We were busy crafters this afternoon! My ice cream birthday party is coming up and although we are having the party at an ice cream parlor we are wanting to add some fun homemade touches to it! Here is a sneak peak at some of our work in process...
Making the party hats! I loved sprinkling on the sprinkles! I already called the pink one!
I can't wait for my party and to make more stuff for it! It was a really fun day!

Craft Day!
Since I was under the weather today we decided to do some fun projects. First we wrapped Ton's birthday present (I LOVE wrapping presents)! I put the tape on and held my finger on the bows as mom tied them. I also drew a picture in his card!
Then we made all my Valentine's for me class. They are going to be surprised with a goodie bag filled with heart stickers, a heart pencil, playing cards (either Cars, Princess, Mickey or Tinkerbell) and a cute little girly Valentine's signed by me!

Sick Day #2
We were all hopeful today I would be better (since yesterday afternoon and evening I was feeling much better), but I woke up sick again. I threw up and had lots of painful tummy attacks...not fun at all. I would yell and look so sad mom and dad felt horrible for me. Here I am watching TV in mom and dads room this morning....
Then I fell asleep...all by myself at 10:30 (not at all nap time) - I must have been worn out. I slept about 1 hour.

I am feeling better and just started to play. I hope this is the last yucky day as I want to play at Nama's tomorrow and I am leader at school on Tuesday!

Bakers!!!
Once I started to feel better today mommy and I decided to be bakers! We actually made (for our first time EVER) homemade crusty Italian bread (2 Loaves) and it was YUMMY!!!! We ate it with butter right out of the oven with our dinner of homemade baked ravioli and cucumber, tomato and onion salad! A tasty Italian feast! Bravo!
