Let's go Royals!!

Tonight we cheered on the Royals with the Uttings!!  We got there in time to each get our hands on the Ned Yost bauble head, we saw the Braves do batting practice up close and a player gave Blake a ball, had dinner, snacks, dessert and so much fun!

They lost, but we had a blast!!

Summer is coming at our house!

This afternoon we went to Surburban for flowers and then had fun planting them in the backyard!  I got me fairy garden all set up and we cleaned up the backyard and made it summer ready!!!!!

Celebration!!

My post Sofball awesomeness took mom, dad, papa dick and I to Jalepenos for lunch (my choice) and then to Quicktrip for goodies!  I picked out sunflower seeds, Gatorade and a push pop!!!

It happened!!!

Today was my 4th softball game and it was amazing!  I don't know if it just clicked our the pitches finally started coming out of the pitching machine batter- likely both true, but I hit 4 out of 4 today!!!  I was hitting them like crazy and always on the first pitch!

I was so excited and so was everyone else!!  It was awesome!  I had 2 runs, got tagged out at home once and was left on third!  When mom asked how I left I told her "like a winner!"

At the end of the game in our team huddle, the first thing Coach Kathy said was "Kate Horton was on FIRE"!!!!  So awesome!  I loved that!

Softball is now officially my favorite sport!  Unfortunately, my next game is not until June 2nd!!

Comment about the field trip

The class was scooping up samples of dirt.  Kate did not want to do it.  I told her she should and that it was a nature field trip.  Then she said " then this is not my kind of field trip"!  Girl makes me laugh!!

Field trip

Yesterday was our last school field trip of second grade!  We went to the arboretum and it was really fun!  We took a long walk, gathered soil samples, watched the fish, saw a snake and explored together!  Samantha and I were in moms group to explore!
