Twas the night before Christmas....

This year all our Christmas fun was in the basement (since the upstairs was under construction).

Cookies for Santa

Every year I set out cookies and milk for Santa.  This year I had to improvise as our Santa plate and mug was packed away (we did not get to get all our Christmas decorations out this year).  I am sure Santa enjoyed just the same!

Christmas Eve

Heading to Pittsburg on Christmas Eve is always so exciting as it means Christmas is HERE!  We had a blast on Christmas Eve starting with lunch at the Mall Deli!  We then hung at out Nama Vicki and Papa Dick's house and talked, watched Christmas shows and chilled before we headed to Gigi and Gipa's to catch up and celebrate Christmas with them.  Once we got back the Nama and Papa's house the countdown to present opening began!!  After a yummy Mexican dinner we celebrated by exchanging gifts....my favorite!  I got amazing presents and we all had fun watching each other open our gifts!  I love Christmas Eve!!!

Christmas Carols

I spent a lot of the Christmas season playing a few Christmas Carols on the piano.  It was fun to spread the cheer through the house!

Our annual tradition continues with an evening full of local Christmas light exploration in our matching Christmas jammies!  This year Mia got to join in on the action!

Annual Christmas shopping with Papa!

Mom has helped Papa shop for Nama's Christmas ever since she was a kid and this year I joined in on the fun!  I was shocked at the shopping frenzy and loved to watch Papa shop and buy all kinds of things for Nama!  After an afternoon shopping (and multiple trips to the gift wrapping station) at Von Maur and Shop Beautiful, we filled our bellies and celebrated our hard work with a Plaza III lunch!  YUMMY!

New couch - New Louonge

I have sold most of my toys and decided to convert my playroom into a lounge!  I made over $2800 and counting on selling my toys and have used that money to buy décor for the lounge.  Here is the new couch, end tables, lamps and pictures I bought!!  I picked out a sofa bed so my friends can come over for basement sleepovers!  I will post pictures when the room is all set up!  I can't wait!

Annual Christmas Cookies

Mom and I love to make our Christmas cookies and we were nervous that the kitchen construction would get in the way of our cookie making - luckily it did not and we had a wonderful assortment! In fact, our new one-level island made cookie baking so much easier this year!  Our favorite was the sugar cookies - we tried a new wet on wet icing trick that mom learned when she, Nama and Aunt Jenny went to a cookie making class and it was a success!

We still wear our Cookie Maker and Cookie Tasters aprons that we have worn since my first Christmas...although my apron is a little small!  I love making cookies with mom!

TCE Winter Party

Since this is our last year at TCE our Christmas party was a combination party with all classes in the gym.  We played games and had snacks - it was lots of fun.  Miss Jennifer took pictures because mom was on a business trip.  Thanks Miss Jennifer!
