Kailua

We loved the beaches in the beach town of Kailua.  Our favorite beach was Kailua beach....we loved all the off shore islands and the amazingly calm waters and beautiful view!  We also loved Lanikai...it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world....we understand why!!  We did lots of swimming and playing in the sand.  We could have stayed here all week!

Sandy Beach- Strong Undertow

We stopped at Sandy Beach to get our feet in the sand and to check it out...it was just too pretty not to stop!  When we got there a young boy ran up to us to make sure I was not going to get in the water.  He was a local kid and told us that the water was dangerous as the undertow was too strong today.  It was water for the surfers and bookie boarder...and there were lots of them.

We made sand castles and watched them all have fun in the water!

Halona Blowhole

If you look close right in the middle of the picture you will see a blow hole...it was just spouting a bit of spray when we caught it!

Island Exploring...

We love exploring the island.  The next few posts will be of some of the amazing things we saw and why we LOVE Hawaii as much as we do!!

Here is a pretty lookout point as we were off exploring the Leeward side of the island.  It was so pretty!

Bennihana

We have been to Bennihana while at Disney World and were excited to see that they had one at our hotel.  It was so yummy and fun that we went 2 times!!! 

This time they had a kids meal - The Panda....take a look at my meal.  Yummy, but not as good as the chicken!

Hoping our next family vacation has a Bennihana involved...sort of a tradition now!

Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki

Here are some pictures from around our hotel.  It was a really big beautiful hotel that had lots to do.  It was right on the beach (our room overlooked the ocean and the lagoon) had 5 pools, some water slides, penguins, turtles, fish, lots of activities, a great beach, tons of shops and restaurants.  It was awesome!
