School Project crafting Saturday

I had 2 school projects we had to work on.  First was to make a solar oven that works!  We built it out of a pizza box, foil, syran wrap, newspapers and black felt.  The finish project looks good....we have to test it out twice on a sunny day before we try it at school next week!

Swim Meet - 400 Free

Friday night and Sunday I had another long course swim meet.  This time it was in Lee's Summit.  Friday night I swam the 400 Free.  This is the first time I have ever swam it and boy was it LONG!  It was a race I finished in over 6 minutes!  I had a great time for my first try and made a Championship Bonus time.  Luckily it was my only event of the night!

Extra Practice for Summer League

Coach Shao started an extra practice each week at Hilltop.  I am going to be on his Summer league and he wants us to get used to playing with each other.  Last week Nama took me to the practice that we thought would be an hour long but turned in to a almost 3 hour practice!  We ended up playing pickup games with grown men!  A group of Chinese men and a group of Russian men....and that was after we played a group of high school girls!  Holy moly does this Coach mean business!

Surprise School Lunch!

Mom totally surprised me last week by bringing me lunch to school and hanging out in the lunch room! She told me she had an early flight but didn't and bright me a sub and hung out!  So cool!

Rec Volleyball

I signed up for Spring Rec volleyball and since my old team no longer exists, requested to be on a team with any girls from TCE.  I was put on David Shau's team and guess what?  He is a former Chinese National player on the Olympic team!!  Holy cow!  He is a really good coach and I have already learned a lot.  Since it is a rec team there is a wide range of talent, but we managed to be in first place in our league!
