Summer 2022: Volleyball Nationals

 I posted some Nationals details previously, but it looks like I never posted all the days or how HLA finished.  While I can’t recall exact ranking, they finished somewhere around 15th place in their division.  The division had about 80 teams.  Lots of fun was had and kate had a great time with her teammates.

Sadly, Coach announced on the last day that he would not be continuing the team and that concluded Kate’s participation in Club volleyball.  She did play for her high school team but decided to focus her time an energy on swim.  She was excited to finally have so free time as she got ready to start high school!

Summer: lots of swimming

 ​Summer consisted of summer swim with Neptunes and long course season with COOL.   Lots of swimming!  We even went to Des Moines for  Cool team travel trip on our way to volleyball nationals!  Kate’s made some amazing swim friendships and they always have so much fun together!

Blog: Catching Up

​I am almost 2 years behind on the blog and starting again to catch up feels daunting.  So, instead of posting day by bay events, I will be posting the back half of 2023 and all of 2023 in big chunks.  Once I’m caught up I will go back to more detailed posts!  It’s a big undertaking but I want to get back in the habit of documenting our anacing family!

Volleyball Nationals: Indianapolis Day 1

Day 1 of nationals did not go as planned and we went 0-3.  It wasn’t looking good.  We had a player get hurt 6 points into our first set which really messed us up!

That night we had dinner with Jackie and her family where we laughed and discussed the challenging day!

Swim Meet: Des Moines

We headed to Des Moines for a swim meet the weekend before volleyball nationals….which started a very big 10 days!

I had a blast hanging with my friends and got a handful of personal bests!!
