Conversation with Santa...

 Today we went to see Santa!  I love seeing Santa each year and telling him what I want for Christmas!

This year I wanted to tell Santa that I wanted a present that is not already on my list, because someone else might already be getting it for me.  So, I wracked my brain on some good ideas.  I decided I was going to tell him I wanted toys from the movie Frozen.  Only problem was that I was not sure how to say it.  I practice different ways to say it, but I always forgot Elsa, one of the toys I want. 

When it was my turn to meet Santa, I got a bit shy and wanted mom to walk me up to him.  I sat on his lap and we took a few pictures.  Then he asked me what I wanted and I totally forgot.....here are some pictures of the conversation with voice over...

Santa: "Kate, what do you want for Christmas?"

Me:  "ummmmmm.....well....."

Me: "I forgot....ummm" (looking at mom and dad for assistance)

Me: "hmm..." (thinking really hard)

Santa: "You forgot?  I bet you can remember something on that list of yours"

Me: "I don't know why I forgot..."

Me: "Oh yeah, Frozen toys.  And an American Girl doll." (thanks for reminding me mom and dad...yikes)

Santa: "Very good Kate, I will see what I can do"

Me: relief!

First credit card application!

 Look what I got in the mail today....an application for a US Airways Master Card.  Hmm...what's my credit limit???  Mom can't believe they sent this to a 5 year old!

They started our basement!!!

Today they officially started work on our basement.  They dropped the wood and then framed it all out.  EXCITING!

Dinner with mom

Daddy is in Chicago tonight watching the KU game with his friend Jonathon.  After mom and I went to pick out books at the book fair tonight we were going to eat at my school because they were selling pizza, but guess what????  They sold out by 6:10....so, we went to Johnny Brusco's and had a VERY yummy dinner.  Girls night out!

Book Fair!!

Last night I was in rough shape with a high fever and bad cough, so I had to stay home from school today (BUMMER)!  Big bummer because this week is book fair and today my class went to the book fair to shop.  I was even bringing my own money to pick out any book I wanted.

Luckily, I felt much better today and this evening mom and I went to my school for the book fair. Guess who we ran into???  Addison!!  I was very happy.  She and I shopped together and even picked out the same journal and pen.  BFFs!
