Pearl Harbor

On our first full day we decided to go to Pearl Harbor since we knew we would wake up early and we needed to get there early before the massive crowds.  Given the time difference (Hawaii is 5 hours behind KC time), we had no problem getting up really early and getting to Pearl Harbor by 7:15am!

I have to say, this was my least favorite part of Hawaii.  Mom and dad liked it though and told me that I would be really happy that I went to this once I learn about it in school.  It was cool to see the USS Arizona ship under the water and I learned all about what happened to our soldiers December 7th, 1941.  It was really sad.

I made sure I got a packet of postcards to always remember my trip to Pearl Harbor and to take to school when we learn all about it. 

Take a look at this GIANT snail....there were a couple around the grounds.  We have never seen a snail this size!

We have arrived!!!

I was so excited to be in Hawaii for my very first time ever!!!  We got our bags, got the rental car and headed to our hotel - The Hilton Hawaiian Village for the time of our lives!!

We're leaving on a jet plane....

So excited....even for the EXTREMELY LONG flight!  About 10 hours in the air!!!  HAWAII HERE WE COME!

Airport hotel!

The night before our very early flight to Hawaii (6am) we stayed the night at the Marriott by the airport.  We got a deal to stay the night there and park for less money than it would cost to stay in economy parking, so we did.  I am sure glad we did because we got to play in the pool and relax in a cool hotel...the perfect prep for our BIG vacation!

Hawaii Prep!

In order for mom and I to be completely ready for Hawaii we had to go get a manicure and pedicure the day before we left!  It was such fun girl time!  I had my toes painted purple sparkles and my fingers were awesome....all hot pink with 2 neon green fingers.  I even had 2 yellow flowers with diamonds on my thumbs.  

We looked really pretty and ready for our trip!

4th of July fun!!

We went to the Cross' for a BIG 4th of July party!  It was so much fun!  Peyton and Ella's family was there and so was Hadley's!  It was a fun girl party!  We had lots of water fun... slip and slide, sprinkler and some water balloons!  We all played really well together and had a great dinner - Mr. Aaron smoked some meat and it was YUMMY!

We then went to Stillwell for fireworks!  They were beautiful and it was so much fun spending the night with my friends!

Hawaii Packing Fashion Show!!!

We are getting all ready for our BIG family vacation to Hawaii and we can't hardly wait! 10 days until we are on the plane (9 until we head to the Marriott by the airport to stay the night)!  Here we are trying on lots of Hawaii clothes!!!!
