Dynasty Training Camp

Since I declined the PVA 12-1 offer I have been exploring other clubs.  I have gone to both Mavs and Dynasty Open Gyms, camps and training sessions.  Here I am at a Dynasty training camp.  I have learned a lot there and really like it and the coaches.

Early morning PT appointment

I have been having shoulder discomfort for a long while now and it turns out I have a muscle spasm.  The doctor recommended a physical therapist and I have been going for a few weeks.  They have given me both stretches and exercises to do to strengthen the muscle and the muscles around it.  I have to do those at home on my own.

Mom and I went to an early first appointment and I got to be late to school!  We even got to stop at Starbucks for breakfast!

Topeka Long Course meet - day 2

We got up bright and early for another early morning in the pool....all the way in Topeka!  Dane and I had a great swim day with more personal bests!

Happy Hour dinner!

After swim and before the cousin volleyball game we met Nama and Papa for happy hour and dinner at Plaza III.  It was super fun to catch up and hang with some of my favorite people!!  The Plaza III bar has become a regular stop for Nama and Papa and I love it too!

Cousin Fun!

Anna and Ashley's volleyball team was playing Meghan's so we all went to watch!  They played great and I had tons of fun playing with my little girl cousins!  Abby was trying to smoother me in kisses and the only way she said she would stop is if I would go "fetch" my shoe she stole from my foot!  That then became a game of keep away from me!  Those cute little stinkers!  After we all went to DQ for ice cream and more time to hang out before I had to rush home to get to bed for another early swim morning the next day!

Icing after a long swim weekend!

I have been seeing a Physical Therapist for my shoulder and he recommended icing my shoulder after I work it out.  Following doctors orders!

First Long Course Swim Meet of the Season

A few weeks back we went to Topeka for the first long course swim meet of the season.  It was a 2 day meet and we took Dane with us.  I had a great meet and crushed my times from last year!  We love the first meets of the season!  We even got to eat lunch at our favorite pizza shop in Lawrence on the drive back Sunday....dessert pizza and all!
