Grandparents Day!

Boy oh boy do I feel awful!! I forgot to wish my grandma's and grandpa's there 1st Happy Grandparents Day! Hallmark must be scaling back on their advertising budget, as I did not see a commercial to remind me!! the official day was yesterday, but I say we celebrate today!!! Happy Grandparents Day Grandma's and Grandpa's AND Great Grandma's and Great Grandpa's!!! I love you!

My week!!

I finally found some time to be able to sit and blog some. I have been one busy girl!! I am trying to remember where I left off...oh yeah, I remember. Last Sunday mom, dad and I met Aunt Jenny and Uncle Rob out for chicken at Strouds. Dad seemed to love the place. I thought it was really cool because I got to sit in a highchair at a restaurant for the first time. I felt so big and everyone could see me and come over and tell me how cute I am (that was my favorite part, well that and spending time with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Rob)! Monday was Labor Day and we spent the day playing together...it was a really fun day! I think I already told you guys, but I got my first tooth that day! I also ate my first veggies...carrots. At first I thought they were yucky. Mom and Dad stopped feeding me and put them away. A few hours later though I was ready to try them again and boy were they tasty! Not as good as Popsicles though!

I went over to Miss Lori and Mr. Aaron's house Tuesday and Wednesday and got to play with my best friend Sydney. Miss Lori is so funny and tried to videotape us all the time. Sydney and I talked and decided to play a trick on her...we would be really cute and funny and then when she would get the camera out we would stop what we were doing and just stare at her!! It drive her crazy, but boy did Sydney and I have a chuckle!!

On Wednesday Daddy had to take me back to the doctor to get my ears checked to make sure my ear infection had cleared up and it did!! Yippee!! The only bad part was that I had to get my 6 month shots! They hurt really bad and I did not feel my best the rest of that day and Thursday.

Grandma Vicki came all the way up from Pittsburg again to watch me Thursday and today. It was so nice of her and I had so much fun with her!! We played and she even gave me a foot massage...it put me right to sleep it was so good! Grandpa Dick came over a bunch too this week to give me kisses and hold me. It is so fun when he comes over because he will hold me and walk all over the house for hours!! I am one lucky kid!

I do this new trick that makes everyone clap for me... I move from my typical sitting position to a crawling position. I do not even think of crawling, but I think it is so funny how everyone gets so excited. They are suckers for a new trick! Take a look of me on this video...

I have some more BIG news....I got another tooth today! It is my bottom middle one on the left. Two teeth in one week is really a big thing I think. They hurt pretty bad so mom and dad give me ibuprofen when I get cranky. I can't help grinding my gums to try to make them feel better! The really funny thing is that I do not let anyone see these teeth...and I know they are just dying to take a look and take a picture! I play such funny games!

I am really excited because tomorrow we get to pick Grandma Fimmen up from the airport!! I have not seen her since I was just a little baby. Now I am such a big girl...I hope she will still recognize me!! She is coming to stay for a long time to watch and play with me! I can't wait!!

Well, it is way past my bedtime and I am super tired. I am going to rest for awhile, but will make sure I wake up about 3am to have mom and/or dad come in my room and hold me for the rest of the night...suckers!! I sure have them trained!

Mmmm...Carrots!

I ate my first vegetables the other day...carrots. I have to admit, I was not a fan at first. Mom and Dad had to try again and then I loved them! They have learned that they need to feed me my cereal and veggies when I am hungry and before I have my bottle! I thought it was so much fun to spit out a little of the carrots with each bite to try to turn my face and bib orange...really fun!

I am excited because tomorrow I think I get to try sweet potatoes!! Yummy!!

My First Tooth!!!

You heard it right...I finally cut my first tooth yesterday! It is the bottom left one! Mom, Dad, Murphy and I were all so excited!! I was acting a little fussy to let mom and dad know it was coming, but they really did not catch on (they thought it was my earache...silly guys)! The funny thing is that I really do not let anyone see the tooth! I put my tongue in the way whenever someone tries to look and yell at them to stop! You can feel it though...yesterday it felt like a little razor blade, but today the entire top has popped up so it isn't as sharp! Wonder when the bottom right one will pop out? Soon, I bet.

My week!

This has been a very busy week. While mom and dad are working hard at work I have been working very hard at home trying to learn to be a big girl!

My Dad, Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Dick were all very nice and took off work to babysit me! I had so much fun with everyone! I wanted Grandpa to think I was a really good girl and even waited to have a poopy diaper until mom and dad were home! Grandma even got to send the night and see me a lot this week! It was so much fun!

My little ear infection turned into a really bad one and mom had to take me to an after hours pediatrician to get me checked out. It turns out I did not respond well to the first antibiotic so they had to give me another one. I seem to be feeling a bit better, but we go back to the doctor Friday to check it out for sure. I also have to get my shots this Friday! Not fun at all! I can't remember if I blogged this yet or not, but the doctor decided to wait to do my shots until I am feeling better. Did I tell you all that at my 6 month appointment I weighed 18lbs and 6oz? I am in the 88th percentile or something like that!! I am growing big and strong!

We went to Pittsburg this weekend to see everyone! I got to go and shop at Little Balkans days with mom and Grandma, got to play with Great Grandma and Grandpa and stay the night at G'ma and G'pa's house!! I was so excited to be staying the night in Pittsburg that I barely slept a wink! There was just so much to see and do in Pittsburg...Grandma Vicki's house is full of really cool things for me to stare at! Mom and Dad barely got to sleep because I required them to hold me all night long!! I am really not a fan of that pack and play bed thing they brought me to sleep in!!

My friend Kate Larson sent me a present from California!! It is the cutest grey tank top that says "Surfer Girls Rule"!! I felt totally cool wearing it. I paired it with a cute pair of denim shorts and a fancy pink and green bow! I made a fashion statement! Thank you Kate for thinking of me!!

Dress Up!

Aunt Jenny came over last week and brought me a really pretty dress I might wear for my pictures. The only problem is that it is a little snug on me! It is so pretty though and has the coolest hat! Here are some pictures of it! Mom and Dad have to take me to get my 6 month pictures soon!! Soon I will not be 6 months old anymore! We have just been so busy lately though...it is crazy!!

Here are some pictures in my tutu...I will be wearing this in my 6 month photos. I am even getting a bow made from Grandma Vicki's friend that will match!!! I am so lucky! I feel like I need to get a princess wand made too...then I will be really fancy!

Here I am in my flower girl dress for Aunt Jenny's wedding. Mom and Aunt Jenny are worried it will be too small for the wedding. I told them I will do lots of exercises so it fits!! It is really cute...I love it! I am getting a special bow made for this dress too!! Mom would not let me take my bib off for very long when we tried on this dress!!! She was afraid I would stain it!
Mom and Dad got me my very own sippy cup!! It is so neat because I can hold it all by myself and chew on the top! The doctor said I can drink water now, so that is fun! I can carry this cup with me wherever I want!
