BEST COUSIN PICTURE EVER!!!!

Heart to Heart Conversation with Kate...

The countdown to kindergarten is on...6 days to go and Kate could not be more excited! She is really ready for this next big step! We have done the back to school shopping, have a dentist and hair appointment for Tuesday morning, have registered for all the necessary kindergarten things, ordered all her school supplies...think we are getting there. On Tuesday Kate learns who her teacher is and get to meet her at Meet the Teacher night and get all her school supplies. She is really excited to tour the school, her classroom and the cafeteria! She is also excited for the Shave Ice truck they say will be there that night!

Tonight after we picked out her first and second day of school outfits she talked about how excited she is for school. "I am just so excited, I can't stand it!" she said (then did the "EXCITED" thing)

After we talked I went to wash my face and then she said, "mommy, I am nervous for kindergarten". I immediately sat down with her and asked what she was nervous about. "I am excited nervous." she said and then started to act all excited again. Then she told me that she sometimes gets shy around people she did not know and that she was nervous that she would get shy around her teacher and her classmates. We talked about lots of ways to handle nervousness and practiced things to say to friends and her teacher. After our talk she said "thanks mom....our talk made me not nervous anymore. I know what to do at school now and how to not be shy. I am going to love kindergarten....now I wish I was going into the fifth grade, that would mean I am really big."

Our talk made me realize how really big she is getting. She is certainly getting BIG enough for me!

Abby's Baptism!!!

Today was Baby Abby's baptism! Daddy was her Godfather! It was a very fun day! Tom, Meghan, Matt, Lucy, Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Tom were also in town to celebrate....it was a BIG PARTY!

We will post more pictures later (once Aunt Jenny posts all her good one's - there are a lot of good ones)! Here are a couple mom took!

Amazing night sleep...

First night in my new BIG GIRL room was a SUCCESS! I fell asleep super quick (I was tired) and slept there ALL night long! When I woke up I had lots of fun playing in my room - LOVE IT!

New bedroom!!!

This weekend the most amazing thing happened...I got a BRAND NEW BIG GIRL BEDROOM! Daddy had been hard at work painting my room a turquoise color, mom bought me all new bedding and accessories....and I was ready for my new room!

Papa Dick came in town on Saturday (with Nama Vicki) to help with all the BIG moving (and there was Tons of BIG moving) because we were having to move lots of stuff in and out and organize the basement...WOW! Thanks Papa Dick!

Here is what happened....

- My room moved into the big bedroom (formerly playroom/office). The Queen bed from the basement and the dresser and end table all came to my new room. My old twin bed and stuff all went to the basement.

- Office moved into my old room - now an office/craft room. We moved the desk and cabinet to the new room and the table and chairs from the basement came upstairs to this room.

- Playroom stuff all moved to the basement (waiting for the basement to be finished)

My room is so cool...turquoise, hot pink and orange!! I LOVE the huge bed and all the pretty things. We are almost complete. Working on art, curtains and some last minute accessories! I LOVE IT!!!

Taylor Swift Concert!!!

I went to my FIRST official concert Friday night....Taylor Swift! It was AMAZING! I was all dressed up fancy (and in my cowboy boots) ready for the BIG night...compete with gold sparkle Fedora hat!! Florida Georgia Line and Ed Sheeran opened for her...they were also great!

We got there early and I danced and danced in my seat...so excited for the concert to start. By the time Taylor came on, I was pretty tired, but loved everything she did. Can't wait until my next concert!
