Another travel day...and still not in India

Here is a view outside the plane window of Frankfurt, Germany!  We had a layover here for about 6 hours.  This was my first official stay in Europe...I even got a few stamps on my passport to prove it!!

While I did not get to explore anything outside the airport, I can say the airport was huge!  It took forever to walk from one terminal to the other!!  I did get to fit in a little shopping.  I bought a pair of sandals so my feet don't sweat in the only other shoes I have with me!!!

Did I mention that they can not locate our luggage?!?!?  Not sure when it will show up.  To prepare, I bought a few toiletries at the airport and our India partner is buying us underwear, pjs and a few shirts!  Hopefully everything fits!!

The trip has not even really begun and boy has it been interesting and long.  And boy am I tired!!  We arrive in India at 2am and then will be working all day tomorrow.  I'm going to try to sleep the entire 7 hours of the flight to get some rest!

Second only to coming home is opening the letters Kate writes me!  I get one for each day I am gone!

Crazy travel day!!!

I am supposed to be on an airplane somewhere over the other side of the world right now, but instead I am still in the USA!  While my flight finally got out of Kansas City (over 5 hours delayed due to weather in New York), my flight to India left right when my plane landed at Newark! We were crushed as we missed it by minutes and now means we need to wait it out about 24 hours for the next flight out!

This flight leaves at 6:05pm tomorrow and is not direct! In fact, I have to stop in Frankfurt, Germany for 5 hours and now do not get to India until 12:40 am on Wednesday.  I am concerned that we will not get all the work done in this short time and have to extend our trip...we shall see.

So, I am now in my hotel room waiting for someone to bring me a toothbrush and toothpaste as I do not have my luggage. Crossing fingers that tomorrow my luggage ends up the same place I am at the same time I get there....dehli, India: 12:40 am on Wednesday!!!  Fingers crossed and prayers said!!!

This sums up the day I have had....

Boo for delays!!!

Delays are no fun!!!

I have been at kci airport since 11:45am this morning to head to India!!!  Well, it is 7:00pm and I am still at kci airport!  This time on the plane and hopefully headed to Newark!  The good bed is that we are finally headed, the bad news is that it looks as if we are going to miss our connection to India!!!!  May have to get to India a day late...and may have to stay longer to get the work done!  No!!!
