I'm a BIG girl!

I’m getting to be a big girl now (I’m not a baby anymore)! I can say many complete sentences and can understand EVERYTHING you say!

I love to dance and sing…right now my favorite CD and movie is Mama Mia!! I just love the sound track and sing it like crazy! My favorite songs are “thank you for the music”, “honey honey” and “money money”! The songs are so great they make me dance!

I really like “The Wiggles”, but my favorite TV show is still “Barney”! U get a big kick out him and know all his shows on our “on demand”.

Now that I am a big girl I just take one long nap (sometimes close to 3 hours long)! And although I am a good sleeper I like to push it off as far away as possible and find lots of reasons not to take a nap or go to bed! My favorites are: “need water”, “see Papa”, “see Daddy”, “watch Barney”, etc….

I love Halloween time and love “Fooky” (spooky) stuff! Some of Grama’s neighbors have really “fooky” decorations in there yard and I love to go see them! I say things like “yucky witch”, but I keep going back for more! I will be sad once Halloween is all over!

Today I had dinner at Grama and Papa’s house and after dinner I told mommy “bathy in Papa’s room”. She and Grama thought that was really funny! Every time we eat dinner at their house I get a bathy there…tonight was no different!

I still love bathies…especially with lots of bubbles! I never want to get out of a bathy!

I visited my very first pumpkin patch with Grama, Papa, Mommy and Daddy last weekend and it was SO fun!! I got to play in a hay stack maze with Grama, go on the slide and swings with Papa, pet little baby chickens with Daddy, pick out my own pumpkins and even meet a camel! I also went on a tractor ride and say a pumpkin launcher that launches big old pumpkins into the air and into the pond! It was neat! I think this was one of the most fun things we’ve done yet and can’t wait to go back next year!

20 month pictures!

Yesterday Mom took the day off work to have a girls day!! We started the day with getting my pictures taken! Mom and Grama took me. Mom had been feeling guilty that she had not yet gotten professional 18 month pics of me. I think after my 1 year pictures when I was not very cooperative...mom was kinda dreading these! They started off a little bumpy as I was not wanting to stay in the picture room...I wanted to play at the Lego table, but I got into it a bit more and started to really like Jason (my photographer). Chuck E Cheese!!! Cool!

Mom and Dad surprised me and took me to my first ever trip to Chuck E Cheese! It was so cool! The pizza was so yummy that I ate 1 ½ pieces! They had so many toys and things to play with…I got to go up and down the slide at least 15 times, I rode all sorts of cool things (Barney was even there) and got to see Chuck E myself! I could eat there every night of the week!

When Chuck E came out to see everyone I was so excited and got right in the mix with the big kids! Mom was close by, but when Chuck E singled me out and tried to give me a high five I got a little nervous and had to make sure mom was right by me. Mom gave him a high five for me. Let’s just say I was not ready to go when mom and dad told me it was time! I wonder if they are going to surprise me next week with another trip there?

Aunt Linda and Colleen!

Last weekend Aunt Linda and Colleen were in town to see baby Anna! I had so much fun with them! We went to the Plaza and shop, shop, shopped, went to happy hour (I was a really good girl) and went to Aunt Jenny and Uncle Rob’s house for dinner…all in one day! Then the next day we went shopping again! It was so much fun! Aunt Linda and Colleen would do anything I asked them to! They would walk with me, read to me, pick me up, play with me…anything! I can’t wait until I see them again!

Holding Baby Anna

I love my new cousin Anna. I really love it when Aunt Jenny lets me hold her! Aunt Jenny puts the boppy around me and lays Anna right in my lap! I am really gentle with her and give her head gentle pats and kisses. I get a little nervous when she cries though and when a paci is not available I hand her off!

Pittsburg

Today mommy, daddy, Murphy and me all went down to Pittsburg! I got to play with Grama, Papa and my Great Grama and Great Papa! It was really fun! Great Grama and Great Papa had lots of fun snacks just for me....animal crackers in a really cool container and yummy chocolate wafer cookies! Mmmm!! I kept asking everyone to walk all around the house with me and had so much fun exploring!

When we went to Grama and Papa's house they had a really cool baby doll station for me and I just loved playing with my new doll (which I named Mia of course)! I pretended to change Baby Mia's diaper, to give her a bath (and made sure her toes were very clean) and get her all ready for her nap!

I had such a fun day....so fun that I wore myself all out and fell asleep most of the way home! Good thing mommy remembered to bring my PJs....I wore my PJs home and then slipped right into bed!

I miss my bouncy seat!

I let my cousin Anna borrow some of my baby things and when she brought over my super cool bouncy seat to Grama’s I realized that maybe I should have kept it! I think I still fit in it even though everyone seemed worried I was going to break it! I forgot that it vibrated and I could rocky rock in it!

Price Chopper!

The grocery store by Grama and Papa’s new house has the coolest little shopping cart cars that I got to drive around the other day! I will go shopping with Grama any day!

Pumpkin Patch!

A few weekends ago Mommy and Daddy took me to the Louisburg Cider Mill for their Apple Fest! We had lot of fun snacks, got to see how they make apple cider, play with pumpkin, see horseys and all kinds of fun stuff! I just love the fall!

Updates on me...

Sometimes I blog about big fun events going on that I forget to update everyone on the little new things I learn and do every day! Here it goes:

• I started to call myself "Katie". No one else calls me that, but Grama Fimmen calls me that when she signs the potty song and I really like it. If you ask me my name I say "Kate", but I say things like "Katie see", "Katie Do", "Katie have" and "Katie go"!
• I love to cook in the kitchen Grama got me at her house and the little one we have at our house. I "wash" my hands in the play kitchen sink too at our house. Over and over and over again!
• Papa Fimmen and Daddy give me money and I love to put it in my piggy bank! Once I put it in the bank I ask to get more out of the hole in the bottom and do it over and over again!
• Mommy and I have tea parties on the floor in the living room! I like to make pancakes in my kitchen and then pour syrup on them for the tea party! I also like to serve mommy hot dogs with mustard! I even set a place for daddy and Murphy to join us in the party!
• Grama got me crayons that you can color in the bath tub. They are so much fun! It makes it hard for me to leave the bathie! I say "T - O- M" as I color and "T-E" (for K A T E).
• After bathies mom dries me off and I run around the upstairs with my hooded towel on screaming "naked baby, naked baby" and giggle like crazy! I love to run up to daddy and say "naked baby". Sometimes I think it is so funny I get clumsy and fall all over the place!
• I love to hide and make people find me. My favorite places are - closets, behind chairs, behind mommy, behind my hands (if I can't see you, you must not be able to see he!), and all sorts of fun places! I say "where oh where did Katie go..." and hope someone comes to find me!
• I am getting more teeth. In fact, I almost have a whole mouth full! I can't wait until they all grow in and stop hurting me. At last weeks doctor appt my doctor said she can see 3 more popping in!
• At last weeks doctor appointment I weighed 24 lbs 13.4 oz (50th percentile), was 32" long (45th percentile) and had a head circumference of 18.5 in (56th percentile)! I am about average for an 18 month old (even though mommy did not get me into the doctor until I was 19 month old....MOMMY!).
• I call Papa Dick "Papa Dick" and even called Grama Vicki "Nama Vicki" once...I also called her "Nama Dick" once by mistake! Everyone thought that was silly!
• I am very polite and say please, thank you, excuse me and bless you when people sneeze (and even when they cough sometimes)!
• I love to play pretend and play with babies! I cook, dress baby dolls, feed baby Mia (I have 1 at Grama's and one at home), I pretend I drink coffee with the new tea set Grama F got me at her house! I even put Baby Mia in time out the other day and put on some Butt Paste on her bottom when I changed her diaper! I like to pretend I am a mommy! I have a big imagination and love to play pretend!
• Mommy goes to Weight Watchers every Saturday morning and I love to go with her! Not to see the nice overweight ladies....but to eat DONUTS!! That is right, believe it or not, right next door to WW is the most wonderful Donut shop! I get to drink chocolate milk and have some donut!!! I love Saturday mornings! We did not get to go this morning though since I did not feel well. Bummer....maybe they will take me tomorrow!!
• The past few weekend mom and I have checked out garage sales. We have never really done it before, but thought we can find some good big kid stuff! I had so much fun looking at everything. One lady thought I was so cute she gave me a bunny...for free! I love garage sales so much that when mommy and I would drive by one I would say "COME"!! I wanted to stop at all of them!

Clean Clean!

Saturday morning is cleaning time at the Horton house and I love to help out! I help mommy dust and carry a towel and wipe down all the tables with her, I love to help daddy clean the windows too! Daddy gives me a paper towel and sprays the window and I wipe it all up! I always ask for more spray! I also love to help mommy sweep the floors! I say "sweep sweep". Here are a few pictures of me sweeping this morning while wearing my jammies and a tutu!! We are going to hang out at home all day since I have a tummy ache and have had many yucky diapers! I even woke up in the middle of the night with a VERY yucky diaper and that has never happened before! Hope I get better soon!

Go Chiefs!!!

I love Chief Sundays!!! Especially when they play away and mommy and daddy are not at the games and we can all snuggle all day and watch football! I say "Go Chiefs" and love to wear my little outfit and hat! When I watch football with Daddy I love to say "run run" and "fall down"...it seems like that is all they do in that game!
