My Routine

Mom and Dad are trying to get me in a routine. Although they have succeeded with some of it, they are going to have to work a bit harder at others. During the week I usually wake up around when Dad leave from work (about 7:30 am) to see him off and give him big kisses. I also am really hungry so have to have some breakfast! Mom usually brings me to her bedroom for awhile and we hang out and watch TV or nap a bit and mom and I play. She really seems to like it when I smile and giggle at her so I try to do that as much as possible!

When mom wants to get ready for the day she puts me in my bouncer which I really like. I usually can stand it in there for about 45 minutes (or about 4 rounds of the songs it sings). ONce mom is ready for the day she gets me ready. I get a bath every 2 or 3 days but in the days she or dad does not bathe me they clean me all up with a cold wash clothe (I know she tries to get it warm, but it turns cold really fast and makes me mad). Sometimes I cry when she puts lotion all over my body because it makes me really slippery. When it is bath time I hope they are just going to give me a bath near the sink and not in the bath tub...I cry everytime they try to wash me in the tub so I think I have trained them to wash me on the sponge! If they are fast enough with the bath I will not cry, but if there is any hesitation I will scream with anger!

After we are all ready for the day we go downstairs and read, play in my activity gym, do tummy time, and take a little ride in my swing. Sometimes we run errands or go shopping. I love to be on the go. I love fast car rides and being in my stroller as long as we are always moving.

I take little naps here and there, but I can tell mom and dad are trying to get me to take a long nap around 2pm. If they had it there way I would nap from 2-4 or 5. Seems like a really long time to me....I just want to hang out with them...I can tell they are bored when I am asleep! I must add the excitement to their lives!!

I try to be really good for them around dinner time - when they always put me in my swing. At night if the weather is nice and it is not too windy we all go for a walk! I watch tv with them...ESPN, The Bachelor and Royals baseball with Dad and Grey's Anatomy and American Idol with mom! We have so much fun!

I should have mentioned I pretty much eat whenever I want. It is pretty cool to have such service!

Bedtime is usually around 10:30 or 11:00. Once I am asleep they put my in my crib. I will stay there usually until I get hungry or want some company (usually until 2am)...then I holler for some help. After I eat I usually fall back asleep in mom's arms...the tricky part is for her to put me back in my crib. Everytime she does I wake up screaming!!! I want either her or dad to hold me all night! I can tell they get tired, but I am tired too. I think this is the part in the routine they are trying to get fixed right away...I am making it really hard for them though!!!! I just want to cuddle!

That is basically it.....and then we wake up the next day and do it all over again....and again....and again!!!

Mommy's Day!!

Today is Mother's Day and Dad and I made it special for mom. I even let her sleep in today...it looked like she needed some extra rest. We all went out to lunch and then Grandma Fimmen joined us and we toured some model homes. Mom and G'ma like to look at all the decorations and Dad heads straight to the basements to check them out. I just go where ever they take me!




Tonight G'ma and G'pa Horton, G'ma Fimmen, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Rob and Peanut all came over for a BBQ. Dad sure can grill some good burgers and brats! I had so much fun playing with everyone and getting lots of hugs and kisses.

I LOVE David Cook!!!!

Yesterday Mom, Dad and Grandma Fimmen and I all got to do the coolest thing I have done in my 11 weeks!!! We went to the Power and Light district and saw David Cook from American Idol perform a mini concert. It was my first concernt and was SO fun! David is really cute...I am pretty sure I was his youngest fan there! We got really close to him when he was signing autographs and getting into his limo...wait until you see the picstures mom and dad took! I tried to get him to give me a kiss but he did not hear me (maybe because I fell asleep)!! Afterwards we all went to Old Chicago for lunch.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Bradfield came in town and saw me. It was fun to see them and play with them....they gave me lots of kisses! They brought me a really cute little duckie that I can't wait to play with!


Grandma Fimmen came over for dinner and she played with me and burped me a lot! She is a good burper!!

I kept mommy up a lot last night. We just weren't tired at all. All the David Cook excitement of the day energized me!!

Now, we all have to watch American Idol this week to see if we are famous!!!

A bit about me...

I am a bit over 11 weeks old and my mom just found some time to get me my own blog (believe me, I have been asking to have one for a long time)! I was born February 19, 2008 at 7:50am. I was 6lbs 12 oz and 18.5 inches long.....thanks to lots of tasty breakfasts, lunches, dinners and lots of snacks I weighed just shy of 12 lbs at my 2 month appointment. I am not sure what I weigh right now, but am big enough for size 2 diapers (something mom and dad just promoted me to after one too many blowout diapers....even though they have over 100 more size one's they can't return. I heard something about them being sick about it. I sure hope they feel better)! My mom is very lucky and gets to take off work for 6 months! She has to go back August 19th....just so you know, she doesn't really like to talk about it! Dad has been coming home from work as early as possible and spending lots of time with me...I have fun with him!

I have a really pretty bedroom. It is pink and green - 2 of my favorite colors! My mom dresses me in pink almost everyday....I have so many clothes that I barely have to wear things more than once! It is pretty cool to weat all the pretty clothes people have given to me....thank you!

My likes: mom and dad, my grandma and grandpa's, my great grandparents, my aunts, uncles,and little cousin Tom, eating, watching and mimicking dad sticking out his tongue, my doggie Murphy (she is finally starting to give me kisses), my swing (I can stay in that thing for hours), my mobile, the boppy, my bouncer, kisses and hugs, tummy time, my activity gym, being naked, smiling and giggling, my best friend Sydney Cross, stinkering, shopping, going to Sonic happy hour, going for rides in my stroller and in the car, being held, and being loved!!!

My dislikes: stoplights, stop signs, anytime the car stops, gassy tummy, shots, loud noises in the morning (I am slow to wake up), hiccups, not being held, sleeping alone in my room (I like mom to be in my room on my chair holding or watching me), and poopy diapers.

I think that is all for new....mommy is talking about a nap (who is she kidding?)!!

Another Update

Today we are taking it easy....looks like mom and dad do not have much planned so I should tell you all about what I did this week. I rolled over for the first time....I have been kinda lazy and won't do it for mom and dad again but boy were they excited when I did it that one time! Of course mom ran to get the camera to get a shot of me right after I rolled over. I was very proud of myself!!

Grandma Fimmen flew in on Wednesday to spend some time with us! Dad, mom and I went to the airport to pick her up....I was a good girl and slept the entire way there. That night we all went out to dinner. I surprised everyone with a big dirty diaper...so big dad had to run out to the car for some clean clothes! I surprised grandma and wore a grandma shirt...once again they had to put a bow on my head so everyone could tell I am a girl!

Thursday mom, grandma and I went shopping for flowers and then planted them around the house...they look so pretty! We also went to Aunt Jenny's track meet (my first track meet ever) and saw her coach the triple jump. Daddy came home early and grilled out dinner for us...yummy!!

I hope to update this blog every day or so to keep you all posted on what I have been up to! Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I plan to spend all day with Mom (with Dad's help).
